Global warming is an issue that affects us all where ever we live. Greenhouse gases have a long life span
and tend to mix evenly in the atmosphere. It does not matter where in the world the gases are emitted the
effects on climate change are the same. We all need to work together to make a difference.
It is essential that we all strive to reduce our emissions. Where reduction at source is not possible, credible offsetting can produce carbon emission reductions elsewhere.
Carbon offsetting is not the answer to climate change but it is a useful tool if used correctly.
In July 2007 The UK House of Commons Parliamentry Environmental Audit Committee issued a report which concluded that offsetting should be encouraged. A full copy of the report can be downloaded from the Committee's web site.
